91 They said to him, "Tell us who you are so that we may believe in you."
그들이 그에게 청하되, "당신을 믿도록 당신이 누구인지 우리에게 말씀하소서."
He said to them, "You examine the face of heaven and earth, but you have not
come to know the one who is in your presence, and you do not know how to
examine the present moment.
그가 그들에게 말씀하시되, "너희가 하늘과 땅의 형세는 분별하였으나 너희 면전 계신 이를 알지 못하였고 또 지금 시기를 분별하는 법을 모르는도다."
92 Jesus said, "Seek and you will find.
예수께서 말씀하시니라. "구하라 그리하면 찾을 것이라."
In the past, however, I did not tell you the things about which you asked me
then. Now I am willing to tell them, but you are not seeking them."
"이전에는 너희가 나에게 묻는 것들에 대해 내가 말해주지 않았느니라. 지금은 그것들을 말해 주려하나 너희가 찾지 않는도다."
93 "Don't give what is holy to dogs,
for they might throw them upon the
manure pile. Don't throw pearls [to] pigs, or they might ... it [...]."
"거룩한 것을 개에게 주지말지니, 이는 개가 그것을 거름더미에 던지기 때문임이라. 진주를 돼지에게 주지말지니 그렇지 않으면 돼지가 그것을 (거름더미에 던지기 때문임이라.)
94 Jesus [said], "One who seeks will find, and for [one who knocks] it will
be opened."
예수께서 말씀하시니라. "구하는 자는 찾을 것이니 이는 두드리는 자에게 열릴 것임이라."
95 [Jesus said], "If you have money, don't lend it at interest. Rather, give
[it] to someone from whom you won't get it back."
예수께서 말씀하시니라. "만약 너희가 돈이 있을지라도 이자를 쳐서 빌려주지 말라. 오히려 다시 못 받을 자에게 (거저) 주어라."
96 Jesus [said], The Father's kingdom is like [a] woman. She took a little
leaven, [hid] it in dough, and made it into large loaves of bread. Anyone
here with two ears had better listen!
예수께서 말씀하시니라. "아버지의 나라는 마치 이 여자와 같도다. 그 여자가 적은 누룩을 취하여 반죽에 넣어 커다란 빵덩어리로 만들었느니라. 여기 두 귀 있는 자들은 들음이 나으리라!"
97 Jesus said, The [Father's] kingdom is like a woman who was carrying a
[jar] full of meal. While she was walking along [a] distant road, the handle
of the jar broke and the meal spilled behind her [along] the road. She
didn't know it; she hadn't noticed a problem. When she reached her house,
she put the jar down and discovered that it was empty.
예수께서 말씀하시니라. "그 나라는 음식이 가득한 항아리를 옮기는 한 여자와 같도다. 그 여자가 먼길을 걷는 동안 항아리 손잡이가 부려져 음식이 여자 등뒤에서 길로 쏟아졌으매 그 여자는 모른지라. 그 여자가 집에 당도하여 그 항아리를 내려놓고서야 그것이 비어있음을 알게된지라."
98 Jesus said, The Father's kingdom is like a person who wanted to kill
someone powerful. While still at home he drew his sword and thrust it into
the wall to find out whether his hand would go in. Then he killed the
powerful one.
예수께서 말씀하시니라. "아버지의 나라는 권세자를 죽이려하는 한 사람과 같도다. 집에 있을 동안에는 그가 칼을 뽑아 벽을 찔러 어떻게 그 손이 쓰여지는지 알아내었는지라. 그리하여 그가 그 권세자를 죽였느니라."
99 The disciples said to him, "Your brothers and your mother are standing
outside."
그 제자들이 그에게 이르되, "당신의 형제들과 어머니께서 바깥에 계시나이다."
He said to them, "Those here who do what my Father wants are my brothers and
my mother. They are the ones who will enter my Father's kingdom."
그가 그들에게 말씀하시다. "여기 내 아버지가 원하는 것을 하는 이들이 나의 형제요 나의 어머니라. 그들이 내 아버지의 나라에 들어갈 자들이니라."
100 They showed Jesus a gold coin and said to him, "The Roman emperor's
people demand taxes from us."
그들이 예수께 금화 한 닢을 보여주며 그에게 묻되, "로마 황제의 사람들이 우리에게 세금을 요구하나이다."
He said to them, "Give the emperor what belongs to the emperor, give God
what belongs to God, and give me what is mine."
그가 그들에게 대답하여 가라사대, "황제에게 속한 것은 황제에게 주고, 하나님께 속한 것은 하나님께 바치며 나의 것은 내게 주라."
101 "Whoever does not hate [father] and mother
as I do cannot be my
[disciple], and whoever does [not] love [father and] mother as I do cannot
be my [disciple]. For my mother [...], but my true [mother] gave me life."
"나처럼 아비와 어미를 미워하지 않는 자들은 나의 제자가 될 수 없고 나처럼 아비와 어미를 사랑하지 않는 자들도 나의 제자가 될 수 없으니 이는 나의 진정한 어머니가 내게 생명을 주셨음이라."
